The Challenge
Akums was grappling with multiple process inefficiencies across its production and supply chain workflow. The organization required an application that could generate and manage detailed reports of printed and dispatched labels based on various filters such as batch, product, plant, customer, and date. Their existing system lacked real-time visibility, secure reprinting controls, barcode traceability, dynamic data sync capabilities, and batch continuation features. Moreover, Akums needed a future-ready solution that could support multi address with single site, reweighing during reprints, dynamic supervisor remarks, and dispatching without prior SAP integration—while maintaining stringent control through authorization logs and editable restrictions, tare weight measuring challenges.

The application offered a suite of powerful features such as real-time barcode scanning with complete traceability for both printed and dispatched labels, dynamic report generation in multiple formats (Excel, PDF), and interactive dashboards that allowed users to drill down to batch-wise and product-wise data.
To meet traceability and data accuracy goals, the solution allowed only authorized users to reprint labels, enforced reweighing during reprinting, and included editable rights with supervisor approval. Sync frequency for APIpharma data was sync every hour, so user will not face any challenges.
The application introduced flexible architecture supporting plant code mapping to multiple manufacturing licenses and addresses. Furthermore, a robust offline dispatch feature was implemented to allow users to create delivery DTLPL
orders independently of SAP, ensuring business continuity even when ERP integration was delayed.
Dash also restructured the backend data logic, enabling label generation against process orders instead of batches to support unique pharmaceutical workflows. New features such as dynamic supervisor name insertion, product type designation, and remark customization further improved label compliance.
